The Pensioner Committee of Motor-Columbus cordially welcomes new retirees. Every third Thursday of the month, the pensioners meet up in the Hotel Restaurant Du Parc, Römerstrasse 24, Baden, for a relaxed and enjoyable get together, and we would be more than pleased to have you join us.

Autumn excursion on September 21, 2023
to the Blüemlismatt, Solothurner Jura
In the morning we were chauffeured by the travel company Twerenbold via the A1 into the canton of Solothurn. From the Gäu, the name of the agglomeration Balsthal-Gäu, the Blüemlismatt is not visible. In Egerkingen we turn right and then drive higher and higher up the winding road. Blüemlismatt is located at 812 m.a.s.l. directly on the European long-distance hiking trail, with a great view. Many years ago, Blüemlismatt burned down completely because there was no fire hydrant close by and the fire department could not be on site in time. The Blüemlismatt is an ideal hiking restaurant and you can enjoy the fresh and regional cuisine. After Blüemlismatt- Rösti, Capuns or Schnipo, the hike continues almost by itself. Markus Studer has been the host here for 40 years, the restaurant is very often fully booked, a reservation is always recommended.

After the fine meal, whether with veggies, meat or fish and dessert, there was enough time to take pictures or go for a walk. The park-like grounds with flowers, wind chimes, seating, trees, shrubs, shaded areas and playground complete with donkey families are relaxing and varied. Exciting conversations filled the time. Amusing stories were recalled from the memories, but as well the latest news was reported from still active retirees at AFRY.
Susanne Richei welcomed the group and wished everyone a pleasant day.
Hansruedi Frei organized the autumn excursion, for which he was thanked with appreciative words and a warm round of applause.

All well and with happy thoughts of this day, the group returned to Baden.
28 pensioners were lucky with the weather, as so often this summer, and enjoyed the barbecue in the garden of the Restaurant Langhaus in Baden. Eating, drinking and chatting outside is always refreshing. Due to the central location without a long walk, even the over 90 year olds were able and happy to take part. |
